Don-Chan, tetsuya et Emi, sont trois amis inséparables depuis l’enfance. Don-Chan, qui a un talent particulier pour le dessin, a promis à Emi, enfant maladive, de lui faire un portrait chaque année, le jour de son anniversaire. Mais onze ans après leur rencontre, un drame fait basculer leur existence, et le serment prêté sous la lune bienveillante risque d’être rompu et leur amitié compromise.
